Eileen Gray - Brownswood, 1878 - Paris, 1976

Eileen Gray was among the most inventive of the designers working in Paris between the two World Wars. During the late 1920s and 30s Eileen Gray was to produce many functionalist chairs, often only in rougly-made prototype. Her most succesful designs include the well-upholstered deep tub chair on a chromated tubolar metal base first created for her house in Roquebrune, and the Transat chair.
